Paul Quinn, Class of ’66, is employed as president and general manager of WGAL-TV NBC 8 in Lancaster PA and is the longest serving general manager in the station’s 60 year history. In 2009 WGAL won a record number of prestigious broadcast awards including the Associated Press’s Best News Operation in PA and a national Walter Cronkite Award for 2008 Election Coverage. Nielsen rates WGAL as the number one TV station in the top 50 TV markets for share of news audience at 6am, 12n, 6pm and 11pm and the station’s website is recognized as one of the most popular TV station websites in the country. Paul is married to Patti and they have 3 children, Andy 36 in Atlanta, Dr. Anna Quinn Harrelson 30 in Ashville NC, and Alex 21 Drexel Unv. and two grand children Mary Hudson Harrelson 18 mo. and Beatrice Quinn 8 mo. Paul’s hobby is flying a couple of restored WWII aircraft to air shows all over the east coast. Last summer he and one of the airplanes were featured in a national flying publication Atlantic and Pacific Flyer.
