Gary Hall, Class of 1964 01/05/2009
Gary Hall, Class of 1964, says he's still in Greenwood & still doing OK, and he shares some news that seems at first bad, and then is good. The bad is, his wife had a heart attack, and on Thanksgiving Day! She dropped to the floor in the middle of cooking "the big meal" for the family. For the good-news part, luckily, they got her some real quick hospital medical treatment, cardio work and a stent, etc., and she was home in 48 hours and is "back in business". She did lament several things to Gary: she says this is her last time cooking the big meal (or, "The Last Supper," as she put it), and that she's going to let others do all that holiday work going forward, and also, she says "I quit smoking and drinking. I exercise every day. And, what do I get for it. A damn heart attack." However, she does believe she might not have made it without those habit changes for the better (or at least the smoking part!). So, all's well that ends well. Catch up with Gary (and Nancy) at ghall@nctv.com in Greenwood.
