Edgar McGee, Class of 1968, writes that "his recent knee replacement went very well." Edgar says Rosemary has now "turned him loose," and that (although he's keeping a cane with him for a couple of more weeks in case of an emergency like having to walk up LOTS of steps at one time), his knee should now be in really good shape again soon. Interestingly, when asked which knee was operated on, he said it was his right, but that when he was being prepped for the surgery, he spoke to the nurse to make sure they were going to cut on the correct one, and he told her his left knee was his "good one." She replied that she'd looked at his X-rays, and that "Mr. McGee, you don't have a 'good' knee." Still, he says the docs aren't getting a shot at that other/left one anytime soon, but that his right one really does feel better than his left now, so he's really recuperating fine!
