Bill Thraves, Class of 1967, writes back to share the good news that he is making good progress on his treatments for throat cancer down at MUSC in Charleston. Bill said it started slow and irritating, but that he is still having a great time during this period anyway re catching up with family and friends, in great part aided by some fine accommodations in the Charleston area with which Mary Ann and Benson Bagwell were able to help. Bill had four days "off-treatment" right at Christmas, and so he and Phyllis were able to spend that good time back in Seneca. Bill says a huge "Thanks!!!" for all the cards, calls and e-mails from friends, and sends along his (864-710-4992) and Phyllis' (864-710-4905) cell numbers. He does say that due to the treatment that he does sleep a good bit, so if you call and get no answer, not to worry, but just leave a message and/or call back. Bill's doctors have advised that the combined-chemo-&-radiation treatment regimen that he's on gives him a darned good chance of whipping this thing!
